"The breakfast was perhaps the best that I have ever had, not just a fried egg. spectacular fried egg. The only comment I would make is that the mirror above the sink is set up for someone 5'3", not anyone around 6'. Otherwise the place has old world charm only a block from the downtown."

It is a beautiful property and well situated for exploration of Monterey and the surrounding area, both on foot and by car. "When we showed up there was a for sale sign on the sign at the entrance and nobody in the office. I had to call a phone number that was on the door to check in. They had to open our door remotely which I felt was not safe. We had an upstairs room, where we had to climb up unsafe stairs with metal plates in two spots to support the broken slats you walked on. The railing going up the stairs was wobbly and made us feel uncomfortable. Both my wife and I are in our mid 70’s and had a hard time with...
