"It was ok but as I booked online wasn’t expecting a £50 hit to cover damage as soon as we went to book in also we mentioned we might have breakfast but got charged at around 3 in the morning We did get our money back but think it’s a bit harsh that they just take it overnight"

"Clean and very friendly staff. Unfortunately was a noisy stay. My room looked over the pub garden and the windows are old sash windows with a poor seal, so I could hear the pub garden revellers until closing."

"Parking was great staff was very friendly and couldn’t do enough for us. We had too change rooms though but it was no hassle at all as they went beyond their selves too help new owners only 1 month alot still too be done but food was exceptional "

"Clean and tidy room, good breakfast, not crowded when we stayed (April 8). Overall very good service. However at 10:38 someone started knocking the door of my room. It was cleaning staff. They opened it despite me being in the room with 2 keys from it. I told that I’m planning to stay until 11 AM which is my check-out time. It repeated second time in 5 minutes. Another lady knocked and opened the room. They did it to other rooms on the floor as I’ve heard them doing it. I was taking shower, so...

"The property definitely has the WOW factor in terms of location and access to the Silverstone facilities. However dont go with any expectation of self catering, minimal facilities which dont include a basic toaster and less than adequate utensils. It appears there’s an assumption that you will eat at the restaurant which looks incredible but quite costly if there for evening meal and breakfast!"

"Spacious and clean room with a very comfortable bed. The outlook across the lake was very pretty and parking was easy. The bar/restaurant was tastefully decorated and was a pleasant spot for a drink and dinner. Breakfast was 'made to order' and quite ok. The out of town location made this a very restful spot."

"Extremely good experience at Horwood House. Everything from the greeting at reception to housekeeping was faultless. Stayed in a deluxe king room which was as expected but above all, very clean and well maintained. Would stay again if in the area. They had the most attentive and polite staff I've ever encountered in a hotel. "

"The room was a little tired and dirty. The bathroom has not been cleaned well. There were hairs in the tub and marks/dirt on the toilet seat and around the sink area. The front desk staff were pleasant enough, though at check in I was told I owed £40 but I’d already paid the full amount. The redeeming part was the breakfast- good food and friendly staff. "
