"This is a great hotel if you need a place to stay and want breakfast and perhaps a drink. The bellmen/concierge services are wonderful. They really seem to have the guests' interests at heart. The hotel is large and busy. It's like a number of similar hotels I visited for conventions and other similar events during my career. You're well-treated here, but it's not the lap of luxury. "Pros: friendly staff, area around hotel is nice, easy access to tube (underground) Cons: hotel is in dire need of renovation. Carpets in hallways and rooms are badly stained (we kept our socks on entire stay), bathrooms are gross, mattresses need replaced and there was a half drank bottle of water in our room when we checked in. Feels like a hotel you’d pay half to a third of what they are charging per night. We had a multi-night stay and contemplated checking out after our first night."
