The homey sitting area on the ground floor has comfortable seating conducive to conversing with other guests. Breakfast is diverse and excellent. The wine tasting experience was great and plenty of options that suit what you are looking for, especially if you have a budget. Staff were friendly and helpful. "I was never able to get to the hotel due to road closures caused by flooding in the area. The hotel never communicated to me via any means before hand. I made multiple attempts trying to get to the hotel through different roads and all ended up being closed at a some point. The sun went down and it was very dark. We were lucky to eventually drive out of the scary dangerous roads. A refund request was denied by the hotel. While I understand the policy, I don’t understand why the hotel never...

"We had a comfortable room with a patio overlooking the Douro River. Staff very friendly. The only negative from our point of view was the window from the shower into the room. The botton 2/3 rds are translucent and upper 1/3 clear. If a light is turned on in bathroom bedroom is lit up as well . Also the obvious privacy issues. Other than the the room , hotel , staff, bar and restaurant are great."

"Elvira and Katerina were one of the highlights, just after the beautiful surroundings and installations. We reached the hotel by rental car from Porto, 1 hour and 40 minutes. The hotel is on top of a hill full of vineyards, and what a beautiful view of the river the hotel has. In the morning breakfast is served beautifully. You can buy wine from the Quinta by glass or bottle, good quality. The hotel has no restaurant so you have to go to town for lunch and dinner. Room was immaculate,...
