Claremont Motor Lodge

Claremont Motor Lodge

8/10 Good
"The Motel is clean and an easy spot to stop and rest on your travels. It has a coffee maker, small frig, iron, and all the small things that you might want/need. The beds were ok. One of our beds creaked. There were plenty of pillows. The residence have a wonderful vegetable garden in the back that was fun to look at. It is a motel. While it is clean, the bathroom was very dated and the sink was extremely low - usable but very low. It met our needs for an overnight on our travels."

"I feel the 8.6 is much too overrated. A 7, maybe. Old building, needs a facelift. Clean, but does not feel as a happy place. Old rugs. Very dark ( but clean) rooms. Felt like in a cave. Manager had no people skills, not welcoming. Will not stay there again. Put a little money into the place!"

"We liked our welcome when we arrived approximately 3:30 pm. The front desk person offered us an upgrade to have a jacuzzi, but we refused. We only wanted the room we booked with a couch. The room was very spacious and on the first floor, which is important to us, even though we didn’t request it. The front desk person gave us a list of area restaurants. When asked she told us about the Sumer House on the third page. We looked all the restaurants over and decided to take her recommendation. Our experience was excellent!"
