"The staff was top notch: professional, helpful, and friendly.
But the property is very old and the common areas didn’t smell too fresh. The rooms were very basic and felt like a bedroom at an old house vs a hotel room. The bathroom and shower seemed clean. There was a counter right above the toilet tank lid where the flusher was located. There wasn’t much clearance between the counter and flusher so it was very cumbersome and awkward to squeeze my finger in the gap to flush the toilet. The shower water pressure was extremely low and the water temperature constantly fluctuated between hot and cold while I was showering. I couldn’t wait to get home to have a proper shower.
The location is central and convenient. The Saturday farmers market is only two blocks away and Third Street Promenade is just around the corner (although many stores were vacant and it is no longer vibrant like it used to be). It is a couple of blocks from the beach."
