"Lovely property, great decor. In a beautiful spot next to the River Dee. Great seeing various boats passing by. Loved sitting out on the patio. The inside of the house has everything you could possibly need. The owner, Chris, keeps in touch to make sure you are happy with everything. Lots of lovely walks nearby, miniature railway in the park at the end of the road. Short walk into Chester. We would definitely like to go back. "

"We had a lovely stay. First time in a Moxye hotel and we enjoyed it. The only downside was the app for the car park. We were in town and wanted to renew the parking, but the App wouldn't load on any of our phones. "Find someplace else is my advice.
Great location to the Chester Cathedral & that’s the best I can say. Reception couldn’t bother welcoming me, except to hand me my room key. I’m 72 years ago & I had to carry a bag up three flights of stairs with no offer of assistance. The carpet on the stairs & in the hallways is dirty, stained, frayed in places. Room was good size but no outlets to plug in a phone - had to unplug a lamp. No outlets in bathroom to plug in a hair dryer or curler so once again...

"The staff are a mix of fabulous and awful - some were so helpful and efficient and could not do enough but others were rather rude and snappy. The whole place needs a bit of TLC - wonderful beautiful building with some fabulous public rooms, statues and artwork but needs a good clean for example cobwebs and dust everywhere, chipped and peeling paint.
