Recomendado totalmente. Para descansar, cómodo, limpio y ordenado. Solo tapar el olor a drenaje en ocasiones, y que pongan más papel falta. El desayuno súper rico y de diez. La atención de las personas increíble también. Es sencillo y económico, pero súper accesible para visitar Bacalar y estar cerca de la laguna. Es tranquilo, tiene todo a su sencillez, pero excelente. Lo seleccionaría otra vez.

Es una gran opción de hospedaje, el hotel se ubica a 10-15 minutos caminando del centro y como a 5 minutos del muelle y ecoparque bacalar Todos los días realizaban la limpieza de habitación, la regadera cuenta con agua caliente y las camas estaban cómodas El desayuno que ofrece el hotel es sencillo pero variado, rico y suficiente para empezar el día Desde la terraza se logra observar la laguna y además cuenta con una alberca No cuenta con estacionamiento pero pueden estacionarse en la calle

A very positive experience overall! The staff were great and the rooftop terrace was a wonderful place to watch the sunrise. The breakfast buffet was fine, though nothing to write home about. The room was comfortable, though even with the windows closed the noise from the street was very audible. (I had one of the rooms facing the street, though, so this may not be a problem for all rooms.) The beach towel rental is convenient if you didn't bring your own, but be aware that for the same price (250 pesos), you could just buy your own beach towel in town. The location is about a 10-15 minute walk from both the town center and from the ADO bus station, and across the road from Ecoparque Bacalar, which is one of the lake's few public access points. It's a great location if you want someplace a little quieter and closer to nature, while still being convenient to the town center (if you don't mind a bit of walking). As a side note, be aware that the primary image used on this page is not representative of the hotel nor its view. While the view from the roof is beautiful, it does not provide an unobstructed view of the lake, nor is it from this height. (City ordinances in Bacalar require that no building be taller than the trees, so the only places with unobstructed lake views are those directly on the water; the image shown on this page is likely a drone photograph). Altogether, I had a very nice time at Hotel Tuparenda and would happily stay there again!

El personal del hotel es muy amable, la habitación estaba muy limpia, libre de moscos, las toallas y sabanas muy limpias. El desayuno es delicioso y variado para todos los gustos, tuvimos una estancia demasiado agradable.

Clean room, hot shower, large balcony, fridge safe and hairdryer. Bit of a smell from the drains so we kept the bathroom door shut. Aircon and ceiling fan.TV had an English speaking channel. Free cold water and coffee available in the evening. Roof terrace with sun beds and lots of places to sit inside. Breakfast good choice fruit, yoghurt, eggs, fruit juice and several Mexican hot choices. Was a steep hill to walk up to the hotel so maybe not good for everyone. Cockerel woke us up every morning at 4am and we could also hear the nightclub on the Sunday evening.

A quiet, clean, and spacious room. A comfortable bed. An excellent breakfast both mornings. Francisco (at the front desk) spoke excellent English and gave great advice for restaurants and activities. When I return to Bacalar I will stay here again.

A nice sized clean room. The breakfast was buffet style. Eggs were served in different styles daily. Plenty of choices for most people. Walking distance to both the ADO bus and Centro. Plenty of outdoor areas. Lots of table and chairs and loungers. The pool was too cold for me but the weather had been cool so maybe on a warmer day. Lake access was only a few hundred meters away at a free pier by the Eco Parque entrance.

Great location and breakfast. Only thing is that they lock the gate and you have to call or ring the door bell after 11p approx which sometimes can take a little while.

A very decent, economic place to stay right by one of the most beautiful places to chill on the lake (the ecological park). Originally booked 2 days, stayed 5. The rooms are spotless, the staff professional, friendly and accommodating, and the vibe chill and domestic. The breakfast is good. The location is fantastic. I walked to the ecological park every day to swim, tan and read.
