"Staff was friendly. Breakfast was good. The room was not good. The room smelled and the solution from staff was to cover the smell with a spray that worked for a while but wore off. The room was very small for a king and awkward layout. There were 2 chairs. One was in a corner that you couldn’t sit in and couldn’t move. The other was a comfy desk chair but blocked the person sleeping on the right side of the bed from getting out of bed to the bathroom. We also only had one towel in the bathroom....

"The Microtel is my home away from home. I have been staying there, when I'm in town, for about five to six years. It's convenient, clean, centrally located, the staff is exceptional and the breakfast is good. I don't stay anywhere else."

"The staff did their part well in welcoming in guests. The room we got was decent but hot because the a/c wasn't on. Usually the rooms we booked in the past would be cool as soon as we enter because the a/c was on. Our room's a/c wasn't on and the room was hot. Some parts around the room for example the mini fridge had some weird dirt around it. The toilet paper was squished in the holder and not neatly placed in. "Windows were pretty grimy, the walls are really thin where I could hear full on conversations of the people next door, and the outdoor pool was closed for maintenance and a bit unsightly. Also there was no coffee options for when the Starbucks closed which was a bit disappointing. The towels and robe were starchy. One of the bottles in the shower was empty."

"Upon arrival our room was dirty and needed a thorough cleaning. It was a three night stay and the housecleaning department never showed up. We made our own bed. Overheard the staff talking that there is a shortage of housekeepers. Guests should be informed of this fact as we were not. The side exterior door handle was broken as was the cylinder that closes it so it slammed all night long. The door would not lock thus making a security concern.
