My 4/5 rating is because they emphasize that they are dog friendly but there was no place on or around the property to safely take our dog for potty breaks. Front desk staff directed us to a park 4 blocks away! If you know downtown Portland, you know that’s not a safe option at night. "Great pool"

"There was a human in the breakfast food area who ‘smelled of urine’. His hygiene was appalling. We could smell this person across the other side of a large dining area. His speech was rambling. He was touching items (food) in the food serving area. The food, now contaminated was not removed. Security followed this person around but did nothing. This human should not have been in the area where food was made available for paying guests. "

"This hotel was so dirty. It was insulting. We didn’t sleep all night. Not to mention the walls are very thin and people were being extremely inappropriate and doing things for about four hours straight to the point where my fourth grade child begin asking questions. We could hear every curse word every slap every motion every single thing and didn’t do anything about it, but they were going to do a couple walk-throughs. "Clean room. The staff was wonderful. The hotel was beautiful. Only complaint was not having a microwave. The palm court restaurant food was delicious and wait staff was lovely. "

"I was underwhelmed with this hotel. It is under construction right now, so the lobby layout is confusing and feels very cramped. Our room layout was fine and it was clean, but the bathroom was the smallest I have ever seen. The bathroom door was a pocket door that did not go all the way to ground, thus providing very little privacy. The location is great, but this was billed as one of the nicest hotels in Portland and overall felt very mid-range. "

"Good selection of restaurants within about six blocks. Second time here and second time I had to stand outside ringing the bell for as much as five minutes for someone to buzz me in. Overall, it’s a lovely place with comfy beds and clean bathrooms. Great location: only five-minute walk to Amtrak station and even less to light rail. "
