"The staff was very nice, the breakfast was good, and the location was great. I can’t give it a five because the room was not maintained very well. Had to get a light fixed, the toilet seat was loose, and the air conditioning did not work very well. The air conditioning Kept the room cool but it would trigger on loudly every 20 minutes, making it difficult to sleep."

"We had a lovely upgraded room on the top floor with wonderful views. The bed is comfortable and the room has all amenities you would expect. There is a happy hour where a couple beers are offered from 5pm to 6pm, which is a nice touch. The hotel could not be in a better location for walkability."

"Wonderful and charming hotel. We loved being near places to visit and restaurants. Covered parking under the hotel but we didn’t even need to access the car once. Everything was in walking distance. The perfect overnight accommodations to compliment our visit to Portland. Will definitely stay here again."

"I was upgraded to a larger room upon arrival which was nice. The room was quiet and the bed very comfortable. And the shower was great. Free morning coffee as well as a nice buffet breakfast was a pleasant way to start each day. Valet service is expensive but very efficient. Note that the service fee for paying tips electronically is significant so I tried to get change at the front desk which was surprisingly unavailable."

"We stayed a week at the Benson recently, the hotel was very lovely and the staff was extremely helpful! They had a restaurant downstairs where we were able to get drinks, food and watch the World Cup. The fitness center was also very well maintained, clean and fresh. The only downside was that the AC in our hotel room worked very slowly and looked like it was leaking water onto the wall. We had it down all the way to 60 degrees (the coldest it got) and even then it barely blew out air. Besides...

"It's a nice hotel but nowhere near luxury class and was overpriced. Paid almost 30 for a tiny piece of fish. Was told it came with peas when we asked what it came with. There were literally 12 peas. So I guess technically it came with peas. After eating the 4 bites of fish, we went out for dinner after dinner. Luxury prices but not a luxury experience."

The thai food place that’s located in it is decent as well. The staff were super friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and decent."
