"Hotelito Azul is NOT a nice hotel in any regards. The rooms are dated and have a musty smell to them with old, torn curtains on the windows. There is a very small area to hang a few clothes but not closet or any other place to store clothes. The website pictures are deceiving as the room looked great online but was not nearly as nice in reality. Their policy states that they will change the bed linens every third day, and after my 4th night sleeping there I had to ask them to change my bed...

"The hacienda was beautiful, with its own cenote and underground river. Tours by David were amazing on site, and his advice for activities, restaurants etc. really enhanced our stay. The restaurant food was excellent - we had breakfast included and also ate one lunch and 2 dinners during our 5 night stay. "

"This is a lovely property in a sea of touristy, less serene beachside properties. The staff here is awesome. So helpful and kind. Breakfast is hearty (eggs from the chickens on the property!) toast, juice, fresh fruit, and coffee. The rooms are nice and have a fridge. All of the rooms face the water. We had room 1 that was right on the beach and next to the pool. "
