"Great place"

"Clean room, staff was great, bunk beds were comfy and both have their own TV. Walking distance to a lot of things! More plugs than most average sized hotel rooms. Biggest do not bring multiple big bags. My friend and I brought two carry on size and even with that it was a little tight, but it was a Pod so we expected that, and most NYC rooms are small. Would definitely stay here again!"

"A disappointing stay at the empire. Whilst the location is great, not much else lives up to the images online. Our room was tired with cracked paint in all areas and a strong smell of fish. Our blind was broken and although we advised front desk of this on day 1, no one repaired it, so we had no natural light in the room for our entire stay. The rooftop pool bears no relation to the pictures on the website and is little more than a large bath. Chambermaids and door staff were friendly, but...

"The room was clean and had the perfect temperature all the time! The breakfast was delicious and had many options for people that have any dietary restrictions. Although, the elevator was always busy despite having three elevators. I always found myself waiting 10-15 minutes sometimes just to get to the lobby and leave. It’d be awesome if they had a dinner or lunch menu for those rainy or unpredictable new york days. Otherwise, it was amazing and the location was accessible to everything."
