"Hotel was pretty run down. My room wasn't in the best state. There were marks down the wall by the bin from tea bags, for example. The lock to the door wasn't functioning properly and got advised by caretaker to rattle it to trick it into working. Car park is very small for the size of hotel so had to park in local council car park and very expensive. Didn't use pool and facilities"

"Return visit. The view is amazing, the staff are great, the bar is cool. The TV had been updated with Netflix. Best hotel in Bournemouth in that price range, in most part due to the constant level of maintenance and peacefulness. Only a short stroll to the pier and shops, by the road or along the top of the beach! Gorgeous."

"Absolutely no amenities. Breakfast is at the hotel next door. The pool is the hotel next door. No phone in the room to contact reception. Power outlet by the bed is not standard. Shower was a trickle in the morning. "

"Room only. Website said self parking but this was at the back of the hotel and run by a different company, another £35. Hotel was tired. Lift broken down but small service one working for the bags but we used the stairs. Outdoor pool was dirty. Check in was not until 16.00. We had a coach of youth rugby players and staff staying at the hotel so we had kids running about the bar and disturbances in the corridors late at night and the fire alarm was set off twice at two in the morning. (somebody smoking in the rooms) Hotel is in a good position for a short walk to the beach. and pier area. I left my bag in the bar at night and the staff had it at reception for me the next day a great indication of honesty. We didn't use the restaurant for breakfast or dinner so can;t comment on this area of the hotel. I had also booked a room for friends who were on the same floor and they experienced the same disrupted nights sleep."

"1. rooms not ready, had to wait, i was then moved and moved again. 2.towel rail too hot and not fixed, after a member of staff checked it. 3. fire bell went off in my room when i was in the bath. when i tried to contact reception the phone didnt work, luckily it went off by itself. 4. no remote for the TV, never got a replacement. Good stuff: 1 staff were great to deal with, although things not attended to. 2. food was average. 3.Spa and pool were next door hotel but it was fine and i enjoyed it. 4. massage treatments were great for all 3 of us. Overall I would say 6/10 but could be better with some attention to details. I would recommend booking directly with the hotel, rather than Hotels.com or another source."

"Great location, parking onsite is chargeable but discounted for guests, spa is changeable but again discounted for guests. A piol and gym is free to use. Our room was great and the staff wete brilliant. Breakfast was very good and great variety. We also ate an evening meal here one night and that too was excellent. "
