"Owls nest was very peaceful and so relaxing. The outdoor space with walking paths, the swing chairs at the pond, visiting the chickens and the kitty visit was very special. The bed so comfy made up with organic cotton linens my husband and I had a great sleep. Janna has such an amazing gift in making her own pottery from the dishes, cups, tiles so beautiful and unique. Perfect location for visiting Pres qu'ile provincial park, sandbanks, Belleville area is a few we visited. Thank you for making our 40th anniversary so special we highly recommend Owls Nest❤"
"What a wonderful escape from the Big Smoke. The opportunity to forestbathe was so appreciated.
Our tent was so spacious and comfortable. We even had a massive downpour one night but were cozy, warm and dry - it was great to hear the rain on the tent.
Basic cooking gear provided = colander, cast iron skillet & dutch oven. If you want other equipment, bring it. Basic utensils as well; coffee mugs, glasses, plates & side dishes.
The outdoor shower was so refreshing!!!
Composting outhouse is the best. Zero odor!
Bring folding chairs so you can go sit by your firepit and at the end of the dock. The number of birds in the area was spectacular - a pure cacophony of tweets!
We will be back.
Laura & Bret"
"I was there for a night to see a nearby play with my daughter. Staff was friendly, it was clean, the room stayed a comfortable temperature for the night, it was quiet and breakfast was included - and they had a waffle maker which my daughter looked for. We couldn't figure out how to make the TV work (remote may have been dead) but that was the only small bump. I'd book there again if we came back."
"Always have an issue with this hotel. Have stayed there as part of a team's choice for a tournament; definitely not my choice! Always find something dirty, this time A/C wasn't working properly and had to make my own bed when asked for a change in sheets (due to some dirty spots found). This was because they only have 1 staff member at certain times of the day (this was at 2pm) therefore front desk person can't leave to help so anything."
