"Lovely clean rooms, great shower! Very doggie friendly. Roaring fires and beautiful food. 10oz steak and peppercorn sauce cooked to perfection. The Coffee and tiramisu sundae exceptional. We will be back!"

"This was one of the best places I have stayed in a long time. The look of the Ribchester Arms, when we arrived, was impressive. We had a very large room and bathroom, both very modern with a 'fridge and juices, milk, drinks and biscuits. The staff were very helpful and looked after us. Breakfast was freshly cooked and pretty good. We ate there a couple of nights and the food was wonderful. A recommended place to stay ."

"The place is great, very quiet and peaceful. My only complain is that the furniture and carpet in my room was old and that was an issue for my mother in law who had an allergy problem, and we could feel the sprungs on our mattress. The rest was great, the swimming pool, hot tub, all great. "

"The room was clean, comfortable and well maintained with good decor. The bathroom had a powerful shower and enough room around the basin for your wash bags. Lighting in the bathroom is always an issue for me (!) so as usual I had my mirror on the window sill in search of natural light. We ate in the pub on the first night, sharing a platter. Good menu. My partner sampled the local beer and was pleased he did. Although a full breakfast was on offer we just had a yoghurt & some toast. The toast...

"Overall the stay was fine, nothing alarming. Hotel looked really nice as we entered. However, the quality and standard of rooms were below expectations of a high reviewed/ star hotel. One example being the bathroom, shower heads were not consistent in the water pressure and so caused a lot of spraying all across. "I stayed at the Fenwick a couple of times now travelling on business and enjoyed my stays. The rooms are very well presented and always nice a warm. Good food, especially breakfast. I think the road outside does not do the hotel any favours, but once your inside you can forget the road."
