Roaches, walls dirty. We didn’t stay more than 10 minutes while called another hotel for a reservation and left. They did give a refund and didn’t argue about it at all. Front desk staff was very nice and helpful.

The staff at the Vagabond Inn Costa Mesa is really what you pay for. They're the most personable and reliable and reasonable as well as efficient and with a smile and a laugh or two. Those kinds of things go along way when you're trying to just get into a safer place for an evening. You won't ever feel unwelcome or unequal here. If that is what you're looking for, the most at-home-like and comfortable vibe you could ever get nowadays from any hotel or motel staff anywhere in the OC.

We loved the pool. the depth the hours and the cleanliness. The only suggestion I have is to have a real breakfast. Some scrambled eggs bacon and or sausage. Also add a bell to the office door or at the desk upon entering the office to help travelers avoid having to call office to get someone to come out and assist. All else. Was great. Thank you.

This is a great place to stay great location around restaurants and you’re the freeway nice quiet family, friendly safe hotel decent price at friendly staff. What’s the parking space safe parking Neice and Clean inside and out that easy system is questionable. I like to stay here often.

Located next to an In N Out. Booked the night to stay in town and rest. Next morning the front desk was full and the team was handling an irate customer. Not sure if she was for real but her comments made me skip the coffee and juice. Literally tossed it out at the gas station. These room are clean and spacious. I would stay here again especially because of In N Out. Keep food out of room for best results. 👍

Close to restaurants, grocery stores, mall. About 13 minute drive to the beach. Continental breakfast good. NICE POOL Area. Room clean but outdated. Curtains smelled like smoke. Had a fridge, microwave, and coffee maker which was great. I booked the room through Expedia for one night. Decided to book one more night. The desk clerk told me that I would have to pay an extra $10 to stay an extra night because I was there before the 3 pm check in. To them it's a new booking and check-in is at 3. Any check in before is an extra fee. All other hotels we've stayed at with Expedia just let you pay right on line. Easy but not this hotel. We had to leave at 11 and check in at 3.
