"Its a small continetal breakfast, nothing hot, there is no family sit in restaurant, in the hotel,for family dining, but there are other small eat in, or take out places. Example, pizza, subway. The parking is great. Great friendly ,helpful staff, nice hotel to stay at. "

I was very disappointed that at every turn there was a prompt for me to provide a tip to the staff, even after checking out when being asked to provide a review. If their staff needs the tip to supplement their income that is on the hotel chain to pay them adequately, not on the guest. A tip for going above and beyond is one thing, but them leaving a manufactured business card in the room asking us to use the QR code to tip the housekeeping staff is...

"The rooms are very basic, clean, comfortable bed, very affordable with restrooms and showers down the hall. If you simply require a place to sleep in the Whyte Ave. neighbourhood, the Commercial is a good option. The historic pub downstairs is a bonus. Lots of dining spots within a couple of blocks, plus the nearby Farmers Market, bookshops, and many great local businesses. "

Attached pub/restaurant/dining room a bit pricey, though food was excellent. Hotel gave complimentary coupon to use in restaurant."
