Wonderful countryside classic hotel

Great pet friendly hotel located in central town, free parking in the back. Well equipped room, we appreciated the fan as it was quite warm. Very friendly staff, good food and plenty of breakfast options. Perfect for an overnight stay and close to exploring Sissinghurst.

We enjoyed our stay very much, the staff very friendly and helpful,food excellent, room spotlessly clean, would definitely return. Only issue for me with mobility issues was climbing into big bathtub with overhead shower and no grab handle! My fault should have enquired prior to booking! Cranbrook proved to be an excellent choice for visiting many places on my 'to do' list.

Older property, but well maintained. Friendly and helpful staff. On site parking a plus. Has both a restaurant and a pub ….. food was good. Comfortable bed but no A/C …. Not a problem in May….probably would be in summer. No elevator

A very historic hotel dating back well prior to Cromwell. The room was charming and the knight in armor in the reception area and swords over the fireplace with ancient oak mantelpiece in the restaurant was really nice as was the breakfast

This hotel is very clean, it is 500 years old so is not modern but rooms and bathrooms are very clean and tody.

Lovely Hotel with your dog

Great food, great atmosphere, suitable location, ideal hotel for having your dog stay. Based on the age of the property, the upkeep of maintenance seems to be important to them. Stairs a little steep but plenty of character in the hotel and rooms. Great value for money.

Great getaway, shame about the bath..

Stayed in the Heather room, beautiful old features, very comfortable. Spa bath switch jammed 'on' so had to be controlled by pull cord by door and plug leaked, couldn't relax in it as jets set to full power and on all the time. Food, bar and service were a great, very warm and friendly. Would recommend the venue.. But not that room.

Very enjoyable stay, evening meal and breakfast were both excellent. Sqeaky floorboards were a bit of a problem, but it is a very old building!! Room clean but looking a little tired.

Nice hotel. Bad stay.

No food available, chef was I'll . Told chip shop was up rd, this was shut. Ended up with co op sandwich for dinner, to then find out there was a restaurant across the rd that could have done. Let barmaid go home at 9.30 then told us bar was shutting early due to staff shortage. My room was right next to extractor. Noisy night No Aircon or fan. So melted all night. Couldn't open window because of noisy extractor.

Historic hotel in a lovely market town. Very clean, reasonably priced, excellent breakfast. Dinner was tasty but perhaps the portion was a bit stingy. Miles is an excellent waiter and all round go-to person. Very personable.

If you want an authentic old English Hotel then this is for you. It was really old with oak beams everywhere but still clean. Pub seems to be the Hub of the village so also a good vibe. The village is really really quiet
