Room desperately in need of refurbishment. Although I had read that the hotel had a lift, which was essential for my needs, there was no mention in the description that this room was stairs only access. "Dirt in the room and under the bed. Staff generally good. Booking came with a room upgrade due to status. Room upgrade didn’t occur despite the hotel being empty and having availability on their website. Emailed the hotel through Expedia app (replying to the message they sent me) asking questions. That was ignored and not responded to. Dinner food quality was poor considering my the level they quote themselves to be at and prices charged. Ice cream for dessert clearly suffering from freezer burn...

"The room was okay. This was a remodel of an older hotel. The lobby was nice, the exterior was nice, but the room had been smoked in the past, and once that is baked into the walls and carpets, it never comes out. I can always tell because I’m very sensitive to cigarette smoke. The caulk job in the bathroom left some to be desired. The check-in gent was very kind and efficient. Parking costs 17 pounds for a night and there’s plenty of it. Breakfast was pretty typical of the Hilton genre, which...
