"Wonderful simple cabins that are reminiscent of Costa Rica of the past, with very kind helpful hosts. If you’re looking for a quiet clean escape into the cloud forest, this is the place. We were so happy to see all the hummingbirds while we enjoyed the excellent coffee and fresh fruit juice in the morning. The private trail was a moderate hike to a gorgeous waterfall and was a great taste of the beauty of the area without the crowds of Tenorio. Our 6 year-old loved seeing the red-eyed tree...

"We really enjoyed our stay here. The garden was incredible and the lovely family did a little night tour to show us frogs, sleeping birds and other small creatures and plants. In the day we saw many birds. The little side kitchen was nice, and the hostess cooked very good breakfasts of local food, much of which they grew. This was one of our favourite places we stayed in CR. "

What should have been a relaxing anniversary trip turned into a week of complaints, room changes, and unresolved maintenance issues. "I tried contacting the property for a pickup but Liberia was in the midst of a rain storm and all their power was out. So taxied out and found my room was ready & waiting. Everything was clean and comfortable, the power was back on in about an hour and the restaurant opened. The food was great, quite tasty. This hotel is convenient to Liberia airport and a great inexpensive option when flying out the next day."
