"Great hotel! BUT- we were supposed to be offered a discount related to visiting Marist Grove, but were told by a reservation specialist that it wasn’t possible. But the friendly desk staff told us it should have made available. So that’s the only negative. "

"My problem was with Expedia, there was a major snow storm arriving that night. We had a six hour drive home. The hotel said they would be fine with refunding me the second night and I should call Expedia as it was you I booked through. Try as might I could not get through your AI assisted customer service as my questions did not align with your preordained question selection. So unless you want to do the right thing I’m out $200 + dollars. Not a happy Expedia customer… "

"We didn't go to the bar but from the front desk it looked nice,clean and everything well organized. My room was super clean and the bed was very cozy and comfortable. The amenities in the room were perfect and well thought."

"The Brandywine River Hotel is close to many historical monuments, museums and restaurants. It is quiet and well maintained. The hotel staff are welcoming and friendly."

"The pool was “under construction “. No mention of this in any of the online sites or Marriott reservations. The only reason I chose this hotel was for the indoor pool as it was a gift to my grandchildren. The fact that it was marketed as an amenity then not even available is unacceptable. Marriott knew the pool was not ready yet let people think they had a functioning pool. There were others in the area. We’ve used Suites to Home before with a lot of satisfaction. Now the Marriott owning so many...

"This was under construction, parking lot a mess, run down on the outside. Room was renovated but no tissues, cups, had to ask for a blow drier, no coffee, no lobby. The person checking us in was lovely but the lobby was gutted. The room did seem clean. Hopefully it will be nice once renovated fully."

"My rooms were clean when I checked in. But even after staying in a room more than 3 days at a time and asking to have the room served it was never done. Ine night at 2am i had to do to the front desk looking for sheets and towels after i left them in the hallway that morning and being told my room would be serviced. I had to clean my own tub"

"I did not stay at this hotel. I booked and got on the highway. While I was driving there, I received a call from the hotel that all the rooms were booked and there was no room available. No mention of a refund. I had to pull off the highway late at night and call Expedia for help. Luckily, Expedia made it right and I stayed at the Sheraton in Wilmington, which I loved. "

"The curtain was broke. Room was dirty. Bathtub had hair in it and a screw that fell from the broken hand rail. The tv screen was messed up to where I couldn’t watch tv and the bathroom light had a timer so I had to keep turning it on as I was in there longer than it allowed. "
