Homewood Suites by Hilton Destin

10/10 Excellent

"We stayed at the Homewood Suites the week of Oct 5th- Oct 12th durning the Hurricane the Staff was great and very helpful. The room was very clean and whenever we needed anything extra they would bring it right up or we would get it at the front desk. The breakfast was ok your typical hotel breakfast but you also had a kitchen with a 2 burner stove and regular size refrigerator in your room so I cooked most of my breakfasts while I was there but my husband ate there at the breakfast bar every day and seem to really like it. We had a parcel ocean view it was great and it wasn’t to far from the beach and not far from dollar tree and Walmart we walked there a few times during our stay, this was our first time going to Destin and considering we were there during a hurricane overall we had a great time the only thing that I couldn’t understand was being a Hilton Hotel why they didn’t have a generator there we lost power for almost 24 hours and were on the 5th floor and we had to use the stairs and it was so dark you could have gotten hurt but thank God we weren’t they need to get a generator there for the hotel. But other than that had a great time."
