"The resort was well understaffed in the reception/lobby for both check in and check out. The buffet breakfasts and lunches were also understaffed for ordering food and having it prepared in a timely manner. The main bar was also understaffed and not attentive. "Amsterdam Manor Beach Resort is absolutely our perfect in Aruba. It's literally just a few steps to the beach, to their beach bar or Horizons Bar on property. The convenience of everything close makes it easy to walk. Years ago, we did the sunset dinner on their beach, Passions, which was fabulous. Also, there's a grocery store that also sells alcohol just 5 mins away. And, right up the road is shopping & restaurants, plus the "night-life". "I've been to Divi Villas (3x in the past over the course of 3-4 yrs.), and during my recent visit I must say the food, hotel room, and staff service continue to be great. During this visit I noticed Divi changed the All-Inclusive benefit and tiered it into (1) Signature all-inclusive which is what we had, and (2) Mega all-inclusive. The difference is major change; with Signature you are no longer allowed at the sister hotels with the all-inclusive benefit you can purchase food & drinks...

"Check in was great with Charlyn! Unfortunately we had asked for rooms to be closer to each other months ahead of time due to traveling with family and they didn’t do that. We had plenty of rooms unoccupied next to us. They told us they couldn’t do that because we didn’t have the same kind of room, but in fact, we had the exact same kind of room! "Had to notify staff do to multiple cockroaches in our room. Resort was good other than little things like ice machine not working, shower door not closing all the way, elevator out of service. Those little things add up though. Loved Aruba but would stay somewhere else next time."
