"Older style resort. Some up dating in public areas, rooms are clean but dated. Overall we enjoyed our stay, Buffet is the main eating option with limited schedule for specialty restaurants. Not many shade options on the pool deck and a lot water activity with nearby jet skis. Nice walk to Baha Mar. We ate there twice, food was very good but very expensive. We didn’t find the staff overly friendly. Final note, coffee was terrible. "

"The British Colonial Hotel has a rich history and has been beautifully refurbished as of Dec of 2023. It’s lovely and the staff is friendly and welcoming. Our room was very clean and comfortable. We didn’t have an ocean view but that isn’t important to us as we spend little time in the room. The 2 pools are perfect .. one for families of small children as you can walk in on a very soft padded floor. The ocean is right in front of the pools with a sugar sand beach with lots of loungers....

"This is a fantastic resort! The room was clean and comfortable and looked just like the website photos. The staff was absolutely amazing. They were -- every single one of them -- friendly, welcoming, and helpful. Lady Sara, the concierge, can fix up any excursions a guest might want to do. There is a nice pool area with slides for the kids. There are hammocks and games and loungers available. We had a lagoon room, which was peaceful and enchanting. The beach has nice sand and good...

"Awesome pools and rooms. I wish they had ice machines om the room floors - you have to call to order and it can take up to 30 min. I would recommend adding more kid/mocktail drink options. Cleo restaurant was our favorite. The cake slices at Pizza Lab are very good, but too expensive."

"Oceanfront two bedroom suite did not disappoint. The view and patio were beautiful, staff was friendly and helpful, pool was gorgeous, entire property was clean, and it was quiet. You can walk to Bahamar if you want to gamble or have a variety of 40+ restaurants but you can escape back to Goldwynn’s quiet and calm. "
