"Hotel is average didn't really see any hotel staff after check-in. we paid for the full buffet breakfast for 3 nights, I would suggest avoiding this if you like a well cooked English breakfast, cooked items bacon eggs sausage mushrooms all cold first day eggs sat in oil. Staff in restaurant not particularly friendly. Stayed at this hotel same time last year and I feel the standards have slipped."

"The Lockkeeper in Worksop is a good, straightforward option if you are looking for a budget stay. It delivers exactly what it promises for the price. While the amenities are basic, the shower is simple, and there are no frills, the cleanliness was great and gave me no concerns at all. It was perfectly suitable for my needs, and I would certainly stay here again."

"Despite the large rooms, the hotel is in dire need of a renovation. The beds are overdue to be replaced. Lots of piling on them and they didn’t have a fitted sheet. You could feel the bumps of the older mattress through the sheet that was on top of the bed. The sheet on top of the bed didn’t cover the entire mattress. It would roll up and expose the mattress in the night. I had to constantly get out of bed and pull it back over the bare worn mattress. Very poor lighting in the room and...

"Good position in middle of town,easy to get to buses/trains etc. Fusty smell in entrance when you first arrive. Staff on reception very helpful and friendly. We stayed in double room 330,it was very poky and tired looking and very dreary. One window facing a building.No bedside table,no hairdryer but bag for one. Staff fetched one when asked very quickly. Only one bath towel but supplied three when asked. We stayed for two nights,no housekeeping on second day,no milk replenished,tea etc. I...

"Friendly staff, good pub attached with good food. Breakfast was tasty but did take a while to arrive (30mins). Room was clean, but tired and in need of some repairs (bathroom doorframe and main light fittings). Good place for an overnight stop."
