"I feel bad that I have had to give a mix rating because I feel everything about our stay was going well until I suffered food poisoning. I woke up at 2am in a lot of pain and spent two hours in the bathroom vomiting. Earlier that day I had the king prawns and at dinner I had the flat iron steak. Immediately after my dinner I felt a discomfort but did not think anything of it. "The room was not as clean as you would expect, especially at a property in the class. I had to pick up rubbish from the side of the bed. The shower drain was not working properly and was not fixed despite notifying the staff about it. No one would answer the phone at either the reception or the housekeeping so had to come in person at the reception to request amenities that housekeeping had forgotten to replenish during the daily cleaning. Overall, an underwhelming stay at a Crowne Plaza."
