"We were kept waiting at check in while the person on reception finished typing an e-mail. No acknowledgement of our existence whatsoever. We had read other reviews which said 'avoid room 44'. Guess what room we were given ? We requested a change of room, and were given room 45, next door ! Comfy bed was a plus. Breakfast was adequate. I had stayed here before, many years ago, when it was the Marine Court. Then it was a classy, well run establishment. Today, it has the appearance of a tired old...

"Room had mould around windows and bathroom shower screen. Shower head not cleaned as very rusted. Toilet was very loose and grime around where it’s had previous silicon around it. Heavy dust on shelves as well as spider webs around windows. Hairs on bed. Not ours and got a hair in my breakfast pancakes. Again not mine as it was pulled back into a bun. Reported to staff. Was assured someone would contact me. They never did. The wedding I was attending was good apart from spelling the newly wedded...

"A good nights sleep. I was a little taken aback to be told I had to pay £5 for parking but I could have parked for free if I'd used the Welcome break website... Not sure how that was supposed to work"

"Parking was easy, lots of spaces close to the Reception area and 24hrs of free cover provided in our overnight booking. Room was clean and functional, albeit slightly dated but everything worked - perfect for an overnight stopover. There were plenty who had dogs with them and a small lake at the back of the property for walking around. We couldn't hear any real noise from the nearby roads and the bedding was great, very comfortable. The Receptionist was also really helpful and friendly "

"Great stay at the Waterfront. Staff lovely and so attentive. Being Coeliac i was well catered for and so much choice for dinner and excellent breakfast options. Room was compact but enough for an overnight stay and for the price really no complaints. Would recommend."
