"It was my first time to Mackinaw City & Island for my birthday. I searched several hotels in the area then found Cabins at Mackinaw, it was easy and convenient for a reservation. All the staff was friendly and courteous. When I saw the cabin it was exquisite, clean and well-maintained. I was totally satisfied with the cabin it completed my first time experience to Mackinaw City. "The pictures are not right when it says cabin … the furniture was old and the recliner was broke. The blinds were all bent up. The place is so outdated and should not be rented out. Do not book this place"

"Several fire rings lit along the beach each night. Beach is rocky in the water. We didn’t swim there; Nice, big indoor pool w hot tub. Balcony view amazing. Friendly, accommodating staff. Free shuttle to ferry. Good breakfast. What more could you want?!"

"We enjoyed our 3rd floor balcony. Our kids loved the splash pad and swimming area. You can also go to another splash pad area just a minute or so away depending on where you stay. No breakfast but it’s no worries as we brought a bunch of food with us. I would stay here again. The screen door was broken and there was some mold on the bathroom shower curtain. Also the hair dryer and the back up hair dryer didn’t work at all. If any of this applies to you just speak up as staff were very friendly...

"The staff was lovely, and the we loved the big front porch, the lawn with the Adirondack chairs, and the view of the lake from our room. Our bed was comfy, and our room, which had a fireplace, was nice, with a very cozy feel. The whole property kind of takes you back to another time--in a good way. The bathrooms do need some updating, and it's worth noting that the inn sits on a very busy road. On the whole, we very much enjoyed our too-short stay!"

"Half the lights didnt work. Bed was hard. Thought it had a splash park and it wasnt open. Thought it had breakfast and it dont. Room was ok and rate was good. Wasn't the best hotel but wasnt the worse. Good for a good price."

"The location was good and it’s right on the water. However, the floor in the rooms were dirty. Our sliding door was broken it didn’t lock. The air filter for the air conditioner was so dirty and full of dust! The bathtub was dirty. Would not stay here again."
