"My family of 4 stayed at Midgard for one night during our trip through Iceland due to its strategic location for those traveling west to southeast. At first, I was concerned bringing a family with kids to a hostel-type accomodation but that was not a problem at all. "Great little place in the Country! The room was much larger than expected. We actually had 2 separate bedrooms and a small kitchenette with dishes and a hotplate for cooking. This was a surprise. The staff is super friendly. The food was good. They also did our laundry (for a fee) while we were out exploring. This was a bonus since we were on a 14 day trip. Would recommend and would stay again."

"We stayed at the newly opened room. It was clean. The location is good. Flybus and other buses stops are right in front of the hotel. Very convenient to get to the airport and downtown Reykjavík by bus."

"Emma at the front desk went well above to make sure we enjoyed our stay. She made sure our room was well away from the large tour groups also using the facility. Indeed, we hardly noticed the other guests. She also made sure our spa and massage reservations were correct, even changing one to accomodate our changing schedule.. On another day, I stopped to ask where to find an odd size coin battery and the receptnist turned in her seat and said, "you mean like this?" And handed me the correct...
