The setting in Gien is perfect, with both easy access to the village and also front line access to the sea via the well maintained gardens, pool & bathing platforms. The pool area and coastline are magical. The service from all of the Le Provencal team was helpful and friendly, of particular note was the 'pool manager'. The island is beautiful and a wonderful place to explore in the daytime, with small beaches to find. "Once you get there the hotel is quite clean and modern. It is located on the other side of the train station with under and over passes (many stairs, lift not working) to the station - with luggage not nice. there is absolutely nothing (no restaurants , shops, bars nada) on this side of the tracks so must cross over via stairs and by pass to do anything."

"I liked this small and quirky hotel. The 3 rooms on the top floor with terraces are best, and although I was not given the larger room I was promised, my much smaller room was very clean and the air conditioning worked very well. The seating and view from the terrace were wonderful. An added plus is that the hotel is located a stone's throw from the train and bus stations, and a short walk to the historic center. All in all, a good stay."
