"Good budget option. Small rooms with basic amenities but spotlessly clean. Very comfy bed. More hangers would be better but perhaps you can get these if requested. A lot of noise in the rooms overlooking the street, to be expected due to central location. Reasonable value. Would stay again providing it was reasonable rate."

"It's an old hotel with history and character. The staff are excellent: polite and helpful. There's a lift to all floors, but still some stairs to some rooms. The rooms are clean and beds are comfortable. The electrical wiring seems old, but everything works. There's no air conditioning. You can hear the station, especially at the back. Tea and coffee are in the room (but no milk or creamer). Some sound bleeds from the room next door. It has a grand entrance and is ideally situated for the Centre...

"Stairs up to room were very clean and well kept. Corridors clean, spacious and lovely air fresheners used. Room was very clean, spacious and quiet and cosy. Bed comfortable and lovely pillows. Bathroom had good shower and a bathmat was provided which I like to have. Good shower gel, shampoo,conditioner and hand cream provided. Breakfast was lovely and lots of choice. Friendly staff. Would recommend and would stay again."

"We got upgraded to the new wing into a Jr suit, cool right? Except it was up 48 steps with no elevator access. Sure wish we would have been warned about this. No porters, so we schlepped our suitcases up three flights of stairs."
