"How this hotel has a 4* rating is a mystery! I’ve just come back from a 2 night stay and was really not impressed. On arrival it looks very grand but all that changes when you get into the tiny, dark decorated rooms. Absolutely nothing like the photos that advertise this place! A very bad smell kept wafting through the bathroom and a smell of weed in the corridor! For a supposedly 4* hotel the tea and coffee facilities in the room are underwhelming. 2 teabags and no biscuits. I’ve stayed in...

"Great atmosphere and excellent and clean room. Beds only double but adequate. Good breakfast and relaxed environment. Bar staff specially Coco was most cortiouse and polite bar tender ever with exceptional knowledge. Only issue we had was had confusing information or lack of it before checking."

"Lovely hotel. In a fantastic location right by the entrance of Yorkshire Wildlife Park. Worth paying the extra for a room at the back looking out over the Maned Wolves and Lar Gibbons. We loved watching the animals from our room. Beds were comfy, shower was great and the toiletries smelt lovely. Very friendly and helpful staff. Would definitely recommend and stay again. "Loved the facilities at this hotel and the onsite bar was pretty decent quality. Check in experience could be improved as despite 3 staff on the desk, self check-in was preferred and the free parking option we purchased was not clear how to redeem."

"This hotel is confusing to locate when using a maps app. It goes by 3 different names, which isn’t helpful. The in house breakfast, for a fee, was much too expensive for what was available. What was available was not warm( eggs, bacon, etc.) There was no one to assist, and the only coffee option at breakfast available that day was powdered instant. Not good!!! "I visited Nottingham with family and we had a good stay in this hotel. The staff were friendly upon arrival and our linen and room were clean. A few issues to report; my bathroom sink plug didn’t work, my mum’s shower didn’t work and my aunt’s room was quite far from the entrance so if you’re not very mobile this might be worth looking into."

"When I viewed this hotel online I thought it looked like a beautiful traditional hotel and certainly wasn't expecting what I pulled into off a busy road. The stained carpet is unrecognisable and is overlapping and my daughter tripped over it. I found an old pair of black shorts/clots at the bottom of the wardrobe with white stains (I handed it into Recep). "The room was okay, but unfortunately there were stains on the walls and the toilet was hanging off the wall. There were only three pillows for two people, and the robes included with the Executive King Room were ripped and clearly well-used. The bed was comfortable enough, though. The staff were lovely, friendly and very helpful, which was definitely a positive."
