"Four of us stayed here for a couple of nights and it was perfect. Granted the rooms are a little dated but everything was clean, everything worked and the beds were comfortable. They also provided breakfast which was plentiful. The staff at the front desk and the restaurant were all very courteous and friendly. Great location also."

"We always enjoy our stay at the Barrington every time we visit Halifax. This time I booked a smaller room. My only complaint would be that the washroom counter wasn’t cleaned (soapy water residue) well but wasn't a big issue."

"It is an affordable option for a hotel near the Halifax airport. We stayed at the front end and back end of our trip - our rooms were very dated but clean, very basic, which did suit our needs. Front desk staff were somewhat abrupt - not rude - but very specific about the rules of the hotel - not very welcoming. The free breakfast ends exactly at 10am - no exceptions - and what is provided is minimal and not exciting whatsoever. Parking is plentiful."

"Extremely noisy at all hours of the day and night. Rundown suites, taps and bathrooms in need of work to be even ok. During our 10 night stay had leaks onto sink counter area from above suite, all our stuff on the counter got wet and soggy. No real concern about it when reported to front desk. The next morning had liters and liters of water pouring through bathroom ceiling heat lamp area and again reported to front desk and only somewhat concerned, they fixed the upstairs suite from us and...

"Nice hotel! Beautiful room, great amenities. Loved the outside patio area with access to the pool. Really enjoyed the stay. The worse part was the parking. Confusing to figure out and we couldn't find how to enter the hotel from the underground parking garage- ended up going through the mall that was attached and then outside and in through the main door again. Other guests we passed by expressed this as well. Could have more signage for this issue perhaps."

"We have stayed here twice before and we very pleased but this time we were very disappointed.☹️ First I want to say that Bill the front desk staff was awesome! He was so understanding and kind! Unfortunately we can’t say the same for our room. There were not sink or tub plugs so unfortunately not able to have the bath I wanted after a cold chilly day and because no plug for the sink my husband’s razor blade went down it. Thank goodness it wasn’t expensive jewelry The fan in the bathroom also...

"As soon as I walk in, I realize I can eat off this floor right now. That's how clean this place is. And I was like, d*** this place. This place smells so good. Holy man, look how bougie this place is man. All the lights have dimmer switches. The view is amazing Love the hot tub, but the black flies were brutal. They'll get you.\n But had a wonderful stay and will be back. The black won't bother you after Like 9 or 10 o'clock. And iwas like damn look at the shower head that's crazy."

"Got a free upgrade to our room which was totally unexpected and greatly appreciated. Parking spaces in front of the building could use to be wider due to the fact that more people are driving full size trucks which makes parking tighter and subjects people to door bumps. Staff were awesome and the breakfast was good. Thanks."

"Bed was comfy, TV was horribly dark, maintenance staff did not know how to turn the energy saving feature off to maintain a bright picture. Maid never left a fresh ice bag for the ice bucketful any of the 4 nights?"
