"I chose this hotel because it was listed as safe for a solo female traveler. It is not. The hotel is in an area without a store nearby to buy bottled water. It sits on a main thoroughfare used for commuting. Support staff was almost nonexistent. The tub plumbing was fine, but the toilet was awful. It requires 30-60 minutes to refill before flushing. They said, " Oh, that is normal for London. The prior hotel was nothing like that. Nor did I ever use a public bathroom like that. The room...

"Feels relatively run down. My sink was stopped shut and it took myself and the overnight attendant 20 minutes to figure out how to make it usable; not fun at 12 AM. The sheets were also stained which made me sleep on top of the covers. Glad I was here only 1 night, will not be returning."

"We were impacted by the UK Air Traffic Control technical issues. We were thrilled to booked the Crown Hotel. From the moment we stepped in we felt like we were at a family boutique hotel. "Nice, old classy place, well kept with up to date furniture and a mini frig stocked with free snacks and drinks, but the advertised free self-parking is only in the street, which fills up quickly. They have a small front yard where a few vehicles can park after checking in for a cost of ten (10) British pounds."

"Super clean and cosy room. It was ready upon arrival and staff was very helpful in explaining the property and pub / restaurant area. Room does not have AC but had a fan and brought another upon request, as well as blackout curtains. (For those traveling from US, not many pubs and older dwellings have AC like we do in the states). We arrived when it was above 30c) We had great food during our stay and were able to enjoy long hikes in the park and super convenient spot to our friends I the area."
