"The staff make this place. The building itself needs a refurbish as soon as possible. We stayed for one week and would say we are seasoned travellers - on arrival the reception area was welcoming as were the staff, that is, unfortunately the last good comment we can give. Maintenance appears to have fallen way below the 5star hotel it claims to be, broken and chipped tiles everywhere, dirty low-class lifts with a guessing game of which floor you will land as there were no numbers working on the...

"Well designed, spacious resort, set in lovely gardens. Spotlessly clean. Small private beaches. Lovely pool area, but often noisy with children. Shortage of sun loungers, and often a long wait for pool towels. Quite a good choice on the menu: food ok"

"The location and snorkelling were great. Buffet breakfast was also fantastic. This is a large resort so you don't get that small pacific vibe, its a very busy place. But easy to drive from there to visit other attractions if you have a car."

"The rooms were huge and had most of what we needed to do some self catering. The gym is amazing, and good to have a pool table and table tennis for days when its a bit cold. Snorkelling not that great, but nice for swimming."

"The staff treated everyone with a true spirit of love and giving attitude, regardless of the amount of guests who were there at any given time. The staff makes the beauty of the resort come alive. It was a very great and relaxing time. If you're going there to watch TV, you might be disappointed because depending on where your room is located, you may not have a good enough internet connection for service. We would absolutely stay there again."

"Shared bathroom facilities and cold showers only with no hook or shelf to hang anything. Great access to beach but limited options to do when weather is poor. Some games would be great. Lovely staff. Breakfast and dinner is included and changed up daily. Really enjoyed the food. Room basic but adequate. Main deck area dated and needs a clean."

"Really enjoyed our stay at Va-I-Moana. A "resort feel" sort of stay, beach out the front with some reef for snorkling. Nice restaurant and bar and although the menu was limited due to supply issues, the meals we had were very good. A little run down but made it seem a little rustic. "We really enjoyed our stay with this local family in the Fao Fao fales. Beautiful beach out the front, nice rustic bar and dining area overlooking the water and reef. Seems like snorkling off beach would be good (we didnt get time to) and lots of attractions close by."

"Beautiful location, priced very well. We stayed in an open fale, beds were very comfy and mosquito nets over the beds were great!! Loved the lockable bathroom attached to our fale ensuring somewhere to keep our belongings safe while we were out. Fridge and kettle were located in the bathroom to keep them safe from the weather. Loved the cats at the accommodation, they were so cute and entertaining. Breakfast and lunch were great, Would definitely stay there again ☺️"
