As were the people that cleaned up everyones breakfast dishes. The breakfast itself was really great with a selection of eggs, meat, mushrooms (that I loved) waffles, yougurt fruit and breads. I looked forward to it each morning. No idea about the parking since I took a train to Bath. It's also incredibly well situated to the city center."

"I really enjoyed my stay at The Gainsborough. You honestly couldn't ask for a better location. It's just a block from the square and an easy 10 min walk from Bath Spa train station, so getting around the city was effortless. "The staff could not have been more helpful, especially Gems & Immy. Nothing was too much trouble. Location is just out of the town, but with the bus stop at the end of the Hotel's drive it is easy to get to the city centre & or alternatively Ubers are very reasonable priced."

"A brief stay for work purposes. Nice large room, clean, good shower and fluffy towels. The bed mattress was a bit uncomfortable, would be better with a mattress topper. I didn’t have any meals so can’t comment."

"Disappointing stay, with poor soundproofing and an eye-watering bar bill. The walls are paper-thin, and I could hear practically everything throughout the night. I was eventually woken up at 5am by another guest using their toilet. Nobody expects complete silence in a hotel, but when you can hear that level of noise from neighbouring rooms, something clearly isn’t right. A decent night’s sleep should be the bare minimum.
