"Arriving you have to climb 8or so steeps and there was zero help with the luggage. Then you have to drive your car to a parking lot which is 5 minutes by car (as so many one-way streets) and then 5 minutes walk back. Cons: Not the warmest reception from staff aside from the last day when we met two really friendly ladies. We were in a garden room which was nice enough inside, however, the glass wall/window were so exposing that you had to have the curtain pulled across the entire time. The staff were very friendly, helpful and went out of their way to assist us, showing great flexibility throughout our stay. The rooms were exceptional, truly beyond words. I have travelled extensively and stayed in many places and this is one of the best places we have stayed."

"The room was very clean, comfortable bed. All my basic needs for a one stop, just driving by. Staff were very friendly felt safe as single woman traveler. They could not do enough with any requests. I wished the TV was bigger and a working Arial signal was in the room. But I was not in the room much so it never really mattered. There was parking, luckily just outside the door. Would stay again if I visited."

"Staff friendly and helpful on Check in , the rooms and bathrooms definitely need updating which didn’t include breakfast so was quite steep for one night . No air con so it was really hot in the rooms . It was a good location , no complaints there but I think the room fee was too much considering how much they need modernising ."

"There was a problem with the room. But they did move us. I don't think Pets should be allowed in a hotel like this, we were moved as the room next door had a barking dog. Otherwise, beautiful grounds and rooms. Staff at breakfast very welcoming, good quality food. Spa was clean. And a good stay"

"Excellent breakfast good choice and very friendly breakfast team. The team deserve a special mention. However on check in the room was not ready and we were kept waiting until another team member just moved us to a room that was ready (not sure why original member of staff didn’t do that) which would have avoided the unnecessary and frustrating wait after a long journey."
