"The location is excellent - right near Kloof st. The hotel felt very safe. My room was quite large and had nice amenities. However, the property felt more like an upscale hostel than a boutique hotel. There was constantly noise coming from downstairs (music, party sounds, etc). If that wasn't enough, the fumes of fried food from the restaurant below permeated my room. Between the oily smell and the noise, I did not sleep particularly well."

"We enjoyed our stay here, the room was comfortable and we were well looked after. Our room was up stairs and a slightly awkward space, but it goes with a characterful old building and was not a problem.The breakfast was extremely good."
