"This was truly the best hotel that we stayed in while we were in Scotland! The only problem is that it is in Glasgow, and it is not even close to one of the prettiest places in the country. "There were very few guests and for whatever reason some of us were staying on the 3rd floor - 80 steps up. The winding last flight had an incomplete hand rail. Aged 78, I found the ascent with my luggage tiring. There was no bedside lamp, and the room was a bit cold. The extra blanket was needed. The hotel reminded me of the rented flats that I stayed in when I worked in Glasgow in the early 70’s. Shabby, but adequate. £120 per night was too much for that room on the 3rd floor. "We stayed 2 nights here . What a wonderful hotel . The staff were amazing. Helpful and very friendly . First night we ate in the restaurant. Food was plentiful hot and so delicious What a star Neil our waiter was . Happy to chat about the area and gave us some ideas of where and what to visit . "I really enjoyed my stay at the Strathaven Hotel. Staff were wonderful and helpful (probably the best at any hotel I have stayed at). The room was clean and well appointed. The bed was comfortable (I slept soundly!). The breakfast was included and there’s nothing like a Scottish breakfast! I will definitely return!! Well worth it!"

"Staff was the BEST part of our stay! Attentive & went above & beyond. We had an early flight and they still accommodated breakfast to go for us. Rooms were clean & bed was comfortable. Parking however can be limited and you may have to park on the street. However you can pull up to the main entrance to drop your luggage with the staff so you do not have to make the (very) short walk if you have to street park. Thank you for a wonderful stay!"
