"Photos online are beautiful, concept is cool, but in person details reveal gaps. Beautiful view, but with no screens in the windows or sliding door ALL of the bugs come into the room. Gross. This means no smelling or listening to the bay, which defeats the purpose of securing this king suite. Huge jacuzzi style tub in the room, but after adding an inch of hot water and letting stand for a few minutes before filling, I found floaters. So the tub wasn’t clean. Gross. "Parking was good. Unfortunately the ice machine was not working."

"This hotel was fine in regards to a quiet place to stay, ac worked. Toiletries available were nice. The pool was out of service. There were trash cans outside the stairs that were over flowing, so I’m not sure how often they make their rounds. Our room included a mini fridge and microwave that was helpful for my family. It’s an old space but can see they are working on it to be a nice spot."

"The main complaint was the outlets. They would not hold our plugs for charging our devices. I realize Port Townsend is a resort/tourist town but $200/ night for this place seems a bit high for really NO amenities. Enjoyed the town though!"

"The room was a very nice surprise. Great condition and clean! What a great view, right on the water! Location was perfect for dining and shopping, and a whale watch tour in Puget Sound! Would definitely stay here again!"

"When we entered the building, the hallway had a musty old smell, which concerned us. However, once we got to our room, it was nice and clean and didn't have any stale smell. The staff from each shift were very pleasant and helpful. The two things to improve would be the smell in the hall ways and the breakfast. The breakfast choices were a bit disappointing. However, the person hosting the breakfast was super friendly and helpful. We would stay here again."

"I had to leave early on a trip to the area because of my room. my bed what so paperthin and cheap I couldn't sleep. It was like a motel 6 but worse."

"The accommodation was fine. We didn’t have a noise disturbances. Breakfast was a sausage egg and cheese sandwich and granola bars and tea and coffee. Good value accommodation and would recommend."

"This is an old brick building that is decorated from the turn of the century. Common rooms as you pass from floor to floor and wind through the building. Very cozy and interesting. And you step right out to Main Street and the bay. We would highly reccomend The Palace as a unique and fun experience."

"This is an older hotel. I rather liked the look of old woodwork around the windows, and the tiled counters. It was a pleasant place to stay, and I think we'll lodge there again on our return trip. If you're looking for a brand new chain hotel you'll be disappointed, but this will take you back to road trips with mom and dad."

"The room was clean and the staff was nice. Parking is a bit tight and it's off a one way street. Once we were familiar with the area, that wasn't so bad. Lots of traffic but decent place for the price."
