"My stay at this hotel was extremely disappointing. The property was in the middle of major renovations, and this was not communicated in advance. The entire first floor was under construction, with sheetrock dust and debris throughout, making the environment feel dirty and poorly maintained. To make matters worse, the elevators went out of service during my stay and remained out of service until I checked out. My room was on the 7th floor, which made this incredibly inconvenient, especially given that I have a bad knee. Having to navigate multiple flights of stairs repeatedly was not just uncomfortable, but unacceptable. The local staff, including the hotel manager, were extremely rude and unsympathetic when these issues were raised, which only made the situation worse. Overall, the lack of cleanliness, the lack of transparency about renovations, and the failure to resolve a major issue, such as the elevators, made for a very frustrating experience. I would not recommend staying here."

"The environment is poor. There’s always a show until midnight, which makes more noises, causing sleeplessness. I don’t recommend this to anyone who likes quiet places. "

"Great location right on DuPont Circle. Beautiful building , our room on 9th floor had a great panoramic view. However, there is only one lift that goes up to 9th floor and the staff was uncaring that it took a very long time - we even have waited for almost 20 minutes one time. The main reason is because the lift is programmed only to pick up by floor ie pick up 4th floor bring down, then pick up 3rd floor then bring down etc much like a school bus that picks up each house to drop off at school individually before the next house rather than have a route to pick up from multiple houses prior to dropping off at the school. Upon letting the front desk know they were indifferent at best. They also didn’t warn us that breakfast needs to be reserved in advance because they accept non guests and doesn’t prioritize hotel guests so we missed breakfast the first morning."

"Overall it’s fair to stay there. First of all, it’s our first family trip to DC, and we don’t really know the hotel doesn’t offer on site parking until we got there for check in. So we had the valet parking for the staying days and tipped the driver after checked out. Basically it’s $200 extra. Well, we do understand the hotel locates in the city, so it’s kind of fair. Secondly, the carpets in the room is pretty old and dirty, it has stains that could be seen. So I let my kids have their shoes on most of the time. The room keeper did the great job, at least the towels were clean. If the boss can upgrade the carpets and more, I would like to give another chance to stay here when we visit DC again. Thanks!"

"The front desk staff was very helpful during the check in process and changing of rooms. To no fault of theirs, we had to change rooms and I ended up in an hypoallergenic room which was perfect for me. Room was clean and had the most wonderful view. Room service was great."

"Check-in was quick and easy. The room was clean and had toiletries that were just ok. No restaurant or bar anymore and I was disappointed with that. Otherwise it was ok and they have a shuttle to go to the casino, outlets and the harbor."
