"The hotel was a bit dated. However it was clean and breakfast was adequate. The spa/ pool was average but clean. The staff were not particularly helpful. A request for a late checkout was immediately met with a response £10 extra charge. When I asked for another towel at the pool, to replace the wet towel, this was denied. Small personal extras could have made this stay feel luxurious but instead it felt like a budget stay."

All members of staff were welcoming, friendly and helpful, and we enjoyed a very tasty and filling breakfast in the morning. Check-in and check-out were all completed via a text message. "Very helpful staff, very good restaurant, beautiful well maintained grounds, good parking. Room could have done with slightly more modern amenities(wardrobe, better shower, bigger bed) but this is after all a very interesting old building!!"

"We had a wonderful stay and the staff were incredibly accommodating. They were so helpful in arranging an early check-in for us and even found a room where we could get ready before attending a wedding, which made the whole day much less stressful. Everyone was friendly, professional, and went above and beyond to help. The hotel was clean, comfortable, and in a great location. We really appreciated the excellent service and would happily stay here again."

"The beautiful setting and views of the river Severn were wonderful. The staff were always extremely helpful and welcoming. The bedroom was very comfortable and clean. The breakfasts and evening meals were of very good quality. It was our first visit to Shropshire and we would certainly come back to the Riverside Inn which was perfectly situated for day trips to Shrewsbury, Ironbridge and David Austin Roses, among other places."
