"The hotel had no air con, but fan was given on request. Staff polite and happy to help. Plumbing was questionable. Showers were adequate, but water pressure not good. Heard a couple of other guests complaining they had no cold water to fill a kettle, and no water for shower. Our bath was very slow in draining water, with water still in the bath the following day. Breakfast was good, however, dining places often missing salt, pepper and items of cutlery. Waiting staff seemed inexperienced, but...

"My single room although small was very clean, including the bathroom. The only downside was that the walls are thin and I could hear someone snoring in the next room! All the staff, reception and breakfast staff, were very friendly and helpful. Overall I would really recommend this hotel. It is on the seafront and good value. Breakfast is extra but there was a good choice and was well cooked."

"No reception staff as normally understood. We weren't welcomed but were told no storage for bags when we checked out! And told the time and no one would be there!!! Outside needed improving , Hall area needed painting. Room and bathroom ok but showe rail in bath not fixed properly on wall and came off. Silicone filler in bathroom needed replacing. Very small high windows, only opened tiny amount ,at top of building so very hot. Fridge OK."

"This is definitely not a 4 star hotel! It is over priced. The rooms are small as is the shower room. The hotel needs updating. It is expensive and definitely don't book breakfast. We were not asked what we would like for a cooked breakfast. Instead this was placed in front of us within 2 minutes of us sitting down! It had been sitting around and definitely not cooked to order. "There was nothing I liked. It was rundown & in need of refurbishment. My bathroom was dirty and the carpets had stains all over them. The lift didn’t work & I was on the third floor. I would never recommend it & it spoilt my stay in Eastbourne."
