Good location close to Murrayfield and tram links to city centre. Mattress very uncomfortable, but then it is student accommodation repurposed during the summer for the Fringe.
5.min walk from both tram and Murrayfield . Basic, but clean. Reasonably priced. Perfect for a solo guy going to AC/ DC gig.Wouldn't use for a romantic weekend though.
Nice clean place, inside and out. Could have done with another person on the desk (two of us were waiting to check in while the clerk was off fixing someone's room problem). Despite being by a road and near a couple of large shops, it wasn't noisy - and there was at least a bit of aircon available.
On the down side were to points which dropped it quite hard for me. First, the mattress had clearly been well used - it felt as if each spring wanted to introduce itself! Second, the kitchen wasn't really much use. I came with milk, tea bags, a cold drink and something for next day's breakfast, and found BOTH fridges out of use, and no cutlery or crockery.
Bus access is EXCELLENT: 10 minutes to the city centre.

It was pleasant
Night and morning Staff amazing and very helpful
I would definitely stay again
Clean and nice rooms for 1 just off a bus in Edinburgh! Easy to get to and from the main part of the city, and while the bed is a bit lumpy and the room for quite hot, had a lovely stay and would recommend for solo travellers

Great location amazing staff, but very lumpy school bed.
Actually, it was a university dorm turned to a hotel during summer break; that is why the price was attractive. Very clean room, quiet place, not far from tram station. Did not see restaurants around, but there was a supermarket just in front of the hotel.
Everything except a few corners with mould on a curtain and a nail from a previous visitor was fine

It’s close to the tram, less than a 10min walk, a store across the street and a gas station. The room and bed were small but it was ok for a short stay. The door doesn’t have a regular lock and you need to scan the card before it closes or it won’t lock. No hairdryer in the room but you can ask for one at the reception. The chair had multiple stains. No tv, mini fridge, snacks or coffee. The walls were thin and I got woken up multiple times every time someone open doors on either side. The lock also made me feel uncomfortable.
Overall my stay here was good, but there were just a couple of things that could be improved. One, there was no bin in the room (even in the bathroom, which for women is vital). Two, the shower was cold - I was in a rush so didn’t alert anyone to this, so in fairness they may have been able to fix it. And three, it wasn’t clear if there was any WiFi, but if there was I certainly couldn’t connect to it. The bed was pretty uncomfortable, but if you’re just there for one or two nights it’s fine. Everything else in the room was great - really clean, free toiletries, and a nice big mirror in the bathroom. Finally, the staff were what really made this for me - everyone I interacted with was super friendly and really helpful, especially when I couldn’t figure out how to lock my door! And as I knew I’d be checking in late, I called ahead and they made sure security would know to let me in. The room is very basic and would be a bit of a squish for 2 people (also the bed is a 3/4 double), but it’s honestly fine for a night or two. So all in all, really good value for money if you want a cheap stay close to central Edinburgh, just needs a teeny bit of fine tuning!
