"What can I say? Dreams Onyx is the best! Every year we travel to the D. R. and every year we are at Dreams Onyx. The only change is if we stay 7 or 10 days!!! The resort is always in tip top shape. Always clean and yards are manicured well. Pools are kept clean. Beach area is cleaned as best they can. This last time it was seaweed season, but they did their best to keep up with it. If seaweed bothers you, don't go during it's season. We never had a problem getting chairs at any of the pools. In fact it was noon and there were plenty at the main pool. The preferred pool is a little different situation, but chairs were available when we wanted them. I did read in one of the postings that if personal items/ towels are set out on chairs before 8 am. Staff does pick them up and takes to lost and found. Pools open at 8, so after 8 is fine to select chairs and walk away. Most times we would select our chairs and then go to breakfast. Didn't have a problem when we came back. The food is OKay whether it's the buffet or specialty restaurants. No reservatio needed except for the Hibachi. Which was a great show and food. Our Butler. ANGEL, (THE BEST)did secure us a spot at specialty restaurants anyway. There wasn't ever a line to get in. Service was fast and wait staff pleasant. Please tip them. Overall it's a wonderful place to vacation. Tip the employees, they work long days. 12 hr shifts, 12days on, 3 off."

"We had a wonderful time at this resort. We came during the off-season so significantly less people then past experiences. The hotel property was very clean. The pool was very clean. Easy access to food and snacks during the day. All staff were very friendly and helpful. Overall we had a great time and would come back."

"I came here for a much-needed vacation and had high expectations. While the staff was incredibly kind, welcoming, and entertaining throughout our stay, the overall food experience was extremely disappointing. Unfortunately, both my boyfriend and I had a bad reaction to the food, despite neither of us having any known allergies or sensitivities. Compared to our experience at Excellence Jamaica, the food quality here was nowhere near the same standard. By the last two days of our trip, I was only able to eat bread and butter because I no longer trusted the food options available. The amazing staff was truly the highlight of this resort, but the food experience unfortunately had a major impact on what was supposed to be a relaxing getaway."

"Customer service and front desk staff including the manager very unprofessional. Even though checking time was 3pm my room was not ready till 3:45pm. My paperwork was done earlier than 3pm since I arrived there about an hour earlier than the check in time. After completing my paperwork front desk personnel requested me to come and pickup room keys at 3pm. When I showed up at 3pm, they told me that my room was not ready. I checked out at 11:45am and I was informed “you just made it” since official check out time is 12 noon. That means if I am late they will charge me for delay check out. I have gone many resort vacations and this is the worst resort ever. There was no taste in Buffet food. Very difficult to make reservations for 3 restaurants they have for dinner. We had 13 of us in our group and everyone felt the same way about this. I haven’t seen many people going to the beach for swimming since it was dirty and water was in brown color. Alcoholic beverages they served were terrible. I am not sure how they got “5 Star” rating for this hotel/resort. I wouldn’t give them more than 3 stars for it. I can’t say anything positive about this hotel and won’t recommend anyone to go there."

"Our 4th time stay at Casa de Campo was nothing short spectacular—absolutely everything was excellent! From the moment we arrived, the service was world-class. The staff is incredibly warm, attentive, and dedicated to making your stay unforgettable. The resort itself is breathtaking, massive, and meticulously maintained. Cruising around the beautiful property in our own golf cart was one of our favorite highlight Casa de Campo as always,exceeded every single expectation we had. If you want a perfect, luxury getaway in the Dominican Republic, this is it. We cannot wait to come back! Highly recommended!"
