There was a nice pool and small gym area and a cute outdoor sitting space that was enjoyable in the later evening. A small bar/breakfast area if you needed it. Great hotel for a night or two."

"The historic Inn is beautifully maintained and updated and provides a unique experience of staying in a home dating back to the 1600's. Breakfast was delicious and Megan the cook was welcoming and helpful. We always stay at the Black Walnut Inn when in Amherst!"

"The accessibility was excellent, with convenient access to most major retail stores and restaurants nearby. Breakfast was decent, but the food selection could have been better. The menu was pretty repetitive, with scrambled eggs served every morning and no boiled egg option available. I would definitely stay here again. The room was very clean, the service was excellent, and the location was convenient and accessible."

"We found the Inn while searching for a hotel for my son’s LAX tournament at UMass Amherst. It was a 20 min, easy drive and provided a quiet refuge from the hustle and bustle of the day! The room was well appointed and extremely clean. Loved the mill vibe and relaxing deck. The staff were extremely friendly and kind, letting us grab breakfast a few mins early as we had to be back at the field for Sunday morning. Would definitely recommend and stay again."

"Beautiful property and very helpful staff. One drawback is there is only one elevator for 5 story building and it is very slow and used by cleaning staff during checkout time. We used the stairs most of the time."

"The staff was super friendly and the room was comfortable. The only few recommendations I would make is to have a shampoo holder or a bathroom shelf and a better shower curtain as we felt bad for the water going outside of the shower but overall the day was great and they were very accommodating."
