The breakfast bar has a variety to choose from, including waffles, scrambled eggs, sausage, bagels, etc. The rooms are clean and comfortable and well maintained. It’s a short drive to the university and the Reiman Gardens a great place to wander about as well as their butterfly enclosure. The staff I’d friendly and helpful. When in Ames stay at the Best Western."

"This is a good hotel I've stayed at before. The location is great, the rooms are nice, and I ordinarily would give it all 5s. But there are some things hotel management needs to address. First, the lobby should be clean. But it is not being cleaned regularly if at all. The floor in the lobby seating area is not swept - there are crumbs and scraps of paper all over the floor. Food scraps and cup rings on the tables are not cleaned up day after day. Second, one thing I expect from a hotel in this...

"I was pleasantly surprised considering the price. The beds were comfortable, the room was clean, the TV worked and had cable, there was a refrigerator. The staff was helpful. Check in was quick. When I had to change our reservations, the process was relatively easy with no hassle."
