"Situated in a quiet location, overlooking a park and water and a short 8 minutes walk from the station. An excellent value and good quality breakfast. Rooms are reasonably priced. Parking available on site. Liverpool city centre is only 20 minutes by train running regularly all day and late into the evening. Staff were all polite, helpful and prompt when dealing with any queries."

"The inside of the hotel is far nicer than it looks from the outside. We booked a dog friendly family room. The room was clean, the beds comfy. The bathroom was well fitted and the shower was really poweful, which was pleasing. Overall very happy. The breakfast was quite nice, with good quality ingredients. Two 'even better if' s'. 1) The coffee in the morning was not good. It was dispensed out of a big urn. Not great quality/choice and not hot. 2) squeeky floorboards. I would stay there again. "

"We stayed in a superior dockside room and it was exceptional. Very spacious, well appointed and spotlessly clean. The food selection at breakfast was great and the staff went above and beyond to provide a gluten free selection for my wife who has coeliacs. The hotel is located across the road from the Everton stadium. Prepay the £10 per day parking and you can come and go as often as you like. Only minor drawback was the £30 charge to use the pool area which put us off using it. "

"We stayed at the Red Lion for a few days as we were meeting family. The accommodation is situated at the back of the pub and is bright and clean. You can access it by walking through the pub or walking round the back. There is plenty of parking but it can get busy when the pub is open! It’s situation means you have easy access to get to many places by road very quickly. The staff who work there are fantastic and very helpful. We had breakfast each morning as well which was excellent! I would...
