"We stayed for 2 nights (Saturday-Monday) and overall the stay was good! The room was lovely, well presented, clean (needed a few touch ups but nothing major) and comfortable. The female members of staff we spoke to were very helpful. Unfortunately, the Saturday night is the reason I’m not giving more stars. I understand it’s a pub so there will be noise to a degree, but there was loud talking and music until gone midnight and it was very frustrating. I had ear plugs in but could still hear it...

"On arrival, we didnt realise there was an older wing and a newer wing. We were in the older wing and the lifts do not go up to the 2nd floor in the older part of the hotel where our room was located and so we had to carry our luggage upstairs to our rooms. The walk was very higgly piggly and I did some damage to my back carrying the suitcases upstairs. As a senior, it would have been nice if help was provided with our luggage. When we checked out we asked for someone to take our luggage...

"We had a great time staying here, even though it was only for one night. The staff was very accommodating and while we missed breakfast, they were able to leave us bags of food to take on our early morning car journey the next day. The dinner at the restaurant downstairs was also wonderful. Only complaint was at the shower. Could’ve been a little warmer!"

"This older home was well maintained and comfy. It was close to the centre of Banbury and down the hill to Banbury Cross and the statue of the lady on the horse. Breakfast is included and there is a wide range of cold or hot meal options; there is a kettle in the room with tea bag’s and coffee packs with sugar and UHT milk made it easy to have a hot drink in your room early morning or in the evening.
